PORT ELIZABETH, 16 January 2014 - Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University Business School MBA ranks among the top 200 in the world. This is according to the Eduniversal 2013 – 2014 global ranking of Executive MBA degrees, a leading resource used by students around the world to compare top business schools.
Port Elizabeth – Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University’s new R116m Business School is the first in South Africa to receive official “green” design rating accreditation for a public and education building from the Green Building Council of South Africa (GBCSA).
The 2013 Annual Conference of the Emerging Markets Conference Board was held on 19-20 June 2013 at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in sunny Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
From the 20th – 25th of May 2013, seven NMMU Business School MBA students, along with Prof Paul Poisat from the Graduate School, joined award-winning author, specialist wilderness guide and NMMU Business School Adjunct Professor, Dr Ian McCallum, on an Immersed Wilderness Leadership Excursion to the Imfolozi Game Reserve in the heart of KwaZulu-Natal. This immersed leadership development excursion was offered for the first time in 2013 to all Second and Third year NMMU MBA students.
From the 14th – 17th of May 2013, 47 MBA students attended the Integrated African Leadership elective module on the NMMU Bird Street Campus. In 2012, the module was unanimously chosen by the students as the best MBA elective, and this year was no different. According to the Graduate School’s Research Director, Prof Cecil Arnolds, the knowledge shared in the module was “positively and enthusiastically received”.
