NMMU Business School MBA Tour to Germany 2012

Germany Tour Group 2012

A group of 15 NMMU MBA students have been selected to represent the NMMU Business School in the “Young Professional Intercultural (YPI) Training 2012” programme, hosted by the IMA – Institut für Management in Wolfsburg Germany from 20 to 25 May. The students selected onto the YPI programme are all either in the second or third year of the NMMU MBA programme and selection was based on overall academic performance.

The students will be joining 9 international Masters Students from Ostafalia University and 8 Volkswagen AG employees from Germany, India, China and the United States of America. As part of the programme, the students will be assigned a project which will require them to:

  • Convey cultural dimensions and standards; application by using international negotiations as an example;
  • List and present the success factors for international business activities in home countries;
  • Develop structural criteria for the group Project Assignment;
  • Form work groups and define work procedures; and
  • Analyse participant results.
  • The highlight of the programme will be the student’s presentation of their findings and results at the International Trend Forum which is attended by high profile industry leaders from the Automotive sector.
